Files the app reads:
- Bank and card accounts (Home budget): CSV, OFX, QFX and QIF from your bank’s website, and PDF statements of the banks whose layout the app knows (RBC chequing and RBC Visa so far). A PDF statement is read from its own text, without AI; the statement’s opening and closing balances check every row.
- Investment accounts (Investments): TD Direct Investing and Desjardins Disnat CSV files, any other broker’s CSV after you match its columns once, and TD Direct Investing PDF statements. A PDF that holds several statements is split; a statement for an account you haven’t added is offered after the import.
- Properties (Revenue and expenses): a property manager’s statement or your own spreadsheet (CSV).
An Excel file must first be saved as CSV. Importing the same period twice is safe: rows already there are skipped.
The files you import are kept on this device so you can open them again (View); they are never sent to the server. The Source of each entry says whether it was typed, imported (from which file) or posted from a recurring entry. Settings, Document purge, deletes the old files.
Names in bold are the pages, tabs and buttons as the app shows them.
