The Cost base and gain tab of a property shows its adjusted cost base: the price, the closing costs and the capital improvements. It estimates the capital gain if you sold today, the taxable part and your share, and the cash left after the loans.
CCA claimed: type the capital cost allowance claimed on each year’s return (T776 area A, or TP-128 in Québec). It lowers the rental income taxed, and on a sale part or all of it can come back as income (recapture), which the tab shows.
Principal residence: pick the years the property was your principal residence. Only one property per family can be designated in a year; the exempt part of the gain follows.
The Net worth page adds up the estimated tax on all your gains. When you sell, the tab becomes Sale and gain (Selling a property).
Names in bold are the pages, tabs and buttons as the app shows them.
