Planning looks ahead. It has five tabs:
- Goals: savings goals (an emergency fund, a down payment) measured on the accounts that hold the money, and debts to pay off.
- Debt plan: all your debts together, with an extra amount each month; highest rate first (avalanche) or smallest balance first (snowball).
- Cash-flow forecast: what each bank account will hold over the next 12 months, from recurring entries, loan payments, rental entries and the rest of each month’s budget. Set a minimum to be warned before an account runs low.
- Subscriptions and bills: charges that come back in your bank and card files, biggest yearly cost first. Turn one into a recurring entry, or mark it as not a subscription.
- Retirement: your net worth grown to retirement with your savings, then your spending paid by CPP or QPP, OAS, a pension and withdrawals. Compare scenarios side by side.
