Car, student and personal loans: on the Net worth page, Add an item, choose Something I owe and its kind. Check Compute the balance from the loan terms to have the balance follow the payments; the app then knows when it is paid off and warns you before. A car loan can name the car it paid for: the car shows what is still owed and your equity. A student loan says whether it is the Canada Student Loan (no interest since April 1, 2023), a provincial loan or a bank’s; government loans show the interest of the year for the tax credit (line 31900, in Québec line 385).
Credit cards: on the Banking page, edit the card and enter its payment due day. You are warned before each payment while something is owed.
GICs and term deposits: in an investment account, add a security of type GIC or term deposit with its rate and maturity date. Its value grows at its rate, and you are warned before it matures. Options warn before they expire.
Term life insurance: on the Net worth page, add it as an asset of kind Life insurance with the date its term ends.
Tax deadlines are worked out by the app: the RRSP deadline (60 days into the year), your return (April 30, or June 15 when you are self-employed: check Self-employed on the person in People & companies) and the year you turn 71, when an RRSP must become a RRIF (it needs your birth year). How long before each warning comes is in Settings, Warning defaults.
Names in bold are the pages, tabs and buttons as the app shows them.
