Take a photo of a receipt and the app reads the total, the date, the store and the GST, HST, QST and PST lines. It reads English and French receipts, and amounts written $12.34 or 12,34 $.
- Scan a receipt: on a bank account’s page, in a property’s Revenue and expenses, or with the + button on a phone. Take the photo (or pick one, or a PDF), check what was read, then the expense form opens filled in, with the photo attached. Pick the category and save.
- Fill from receipt: in an entry’s Receipts and documents, next to a photo or PDF already attached. It fills the date, amount and store of that entry.
You always see the values before they are used: reading can mistake a digit, so compare them with the receipt. When the subtotal and the taxes add up to the total, the app says so. The tax lines go in the entry’s note.
The receipt is read on your device, even without internet: the photo and its text are never sent anywhere to be read. For a better reading, put the receipt flat, in good light, and fill the photo with it.
Names in bold are the pages, tabs and buttons as the app shows them.
